They Both Die at the End – Adam Silvera

One of my top books of 2025 so far has to be They Both Die at the end by Adam Silvera. I read this as part of a Tandem collective readalong back in May and it made me *sob*. I can’t wait to pick up the rest of the series in the summer! Check out my full book review for They Both Die at the End on Instagram in the post below.

The Other People – C.B Everett

When the lovely team at Simon and Schuster asked me to create some visual content for one of their thrilling new releases of course I jumped at the chance! The Other People was a fantastic locked room-style mystery with a complete twist. Without any spoilers (it was hard!), here is my full review for this fantastic read.

Vera Wong’s Guide to Snooping on a Dead Man – Jesse Sutanto

I LOVE Vera! If you’ve been following my bookstagram for a while you’ll know how completely in love I fell with Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers so I was incredibly excited when I got the chance to read the next book in her story ahead of its release in April. This second installment has all the fgeel-good vibes of the first Vera Wong book with plenty of new twists and found family.

Ghosts – Dolly Alderton

I’ll be honest, I will read anything Dolly writes but I absolutely adored this fiction book and it’s wonderful characters during a recent trip. I love the messy humanity and endearing characters of Dolly Alderton’s books and this one was no exception, read the full review over on Insta below.

Everyone in the Group Chat Dies – L.M. Chilton

If you haven’t yet discovered L.M. Chilton’s dark humour I recommend you get yourself to a bookshop and pick up a copy of this or Don’t Swipe Right, they are genius! I absolutely loved this comedic slasher and can’t wait to read more from this author!

One of the Good Guys – Araminta Hall

Oh. My. Gosh. This book had my shook! One of the Good Guys became permanently etched into my brain when I read it back in March with its eerily close-to-home and realistic storyline. Read the full review below and go read it!

Piglet – Lottie Hazell

I’ll start out by warning you that this book will make you hungry. Very hungry. Detailing a disastrous engagement then wedding this book is for the food-lovers and I could not get enough of it when I read it back in February.

The Last Murder at the End of the World – Stuart Turton

Whilst I know there was some debate about whether this qualifies as a mystery book or not, for me it absolutely was one of the best mysteries I’ve read so far this year. I loved the sci-fi twist and the setting was PERFECT.

Bridget Jones’s Diary – Helen Fielding

An absolute classic of a film that I picked up in book form this year to celebrate the newest film instalment, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (did you watch it? Wasn’t it incredible!). I instantly connected with Bridget and adored this book, it was so easy to read and fall in love with! Whilst some of the workplace situations were a little iffy in today’s mindset, I absolutely loved every page of this book.

The Convenience Store by the Sea – Sonoko Machida

I love cosy translated fiction and this one did not disappoint. Translated from Japanese, this cosy read had all the feel of a warm hug and gently introduced each character, each of which blossomed within the pages of the book and the convenience store setting. If you are looking for a cosy read, pick this one up!

You Are Fatally Invited – Ande Pliego

This book had major Clue vibes and I was HERE for it. A locked room slasher house theme kept me absolutely gripped and I did not expect the twists, I won’t offer any spoilers but if you are looking for a classic-style mystery with a modern twist, this one is it!
